Handmade Jewelry

All Marah made Jewelry is handmade. The nature of handmade items is that there will always be imperfections & no two pieces will ever be identical.  Stones may contain specks and natural texture. Stamping will never be absolutely precise. These qualities are what make each piece of jewelry unique and naturally beautiful. Please note that I take an immense amount of care and time to ensure each piece of jewelry is made to be lovely, functional and exactly as it should be. The style of Marah made jewelry is unrefined, filled with character, each perfectly unique. 

 

Jewelry Care 

Please take care of your jewelry!  The more you wear it, the shinier it will stay. 

Sterling Silver & Brass  will tarnish with time. Tarnish can be minimized by storing your jewelry in a fabric pouch or airtight container. A polishing cloth is included in each order. To bring shine back to your jewelry, gently rub with polishing cloth to remove tarnish. Do not rub polishing cloth on stones.

Dry off brass jewelry. It is perfectly fine to get it wet, I swim in the ocean with mine regularly. Just dry it off after swimming or hand washing. 

Stones can crack, break or fall out if jewelry is dropped or smashed.  Marah made Jewelry is made to be relatively durable and worn daily. However, each piece of jewelry is handmade art, and should be cared for as so. 

Protect your jewelry from solvents, chemicals, cosmetic products and rigorous activities.

 

Will my skin turn green?

Silver jewelry will not turn your skin Green. 

Depending on the PH levels of your skin (which change due to health, emotions and medications) there is the potential for brass jewelry to turn your skin green. Do not let this scare you away from brass jewelry or think that this means it is of poor quality. Sometimes upon initial wear, skin turns green under your rings, this is because your body is adjusting to get used to the brass, it is not an allergy. The best way to solve this is to continue to wear your precious pieces as much as possible. In doing this, your body will adapt and in a short time, there will be no more green. 

 

Vintage/Second Hand

Every item is thoughtfully sourced and represented as accurately as possible. Due to the nature of second hand and vintage, it is expected that these items may have slight imperfections due to age and wear, all of which will be noted in the item listings, if any. I primarily select pieces that are in perfect or good condition with no flaws, however occasionally I will intentionally select a piece with signs of wear as a well worn piece may be the desired look, sought after with intention. 

Returns/Exchanges/Refunds

Due to the custom, handmade nature of my jewelry work, & vintage jewelry, all jewelry is final sale. Each piece of jewelry is handmade and sent out with care, quality and ready to wear. In the one-off event, that something happens to your jewelry, please contact me and I will do everything in my power to fix it. 

For clothing and boots, I accept returns & exchanges, post marked within 7 days from when you received the item. All accessories are final sale. If you have any issues with clothing, boots or accessories upon receipt, please do not wear them and contact me via email at marahmadejewelry@gmail.com right away. I will do everything within my ability to help on a case by case basis.

Once your email has been received, instructions for return or resolve will be sent. 

Return/exchange shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer both to/from Marah Made. If an exchange is being made for an item of greater value, an invoice will be sent and difference must be paid in full before the exchange item will be shipped out.

For all returns and exchanges, tags must be attached, and clothing and footwear must be in the same condition as when the order was fulfilled. This means, once you recieve your clothing or boots, try them on right away, and if they do not fit, or if you would like a return or exchange, please send me a return request as soon as possible. 

Damaged items, items with tags removed, mistreated items and items that have clearly been worn or smell of perfume, will not be accepted for return/exchange/refund.

If for any reason you must send something back to me, please package your return carefully. Marah made is not responsible for products that are lost/stolen/damaged in route for delivery or return. I do not accept returns for cracked/scratched stones, daily wear and tear, or mistreated products. All returns must be approved via email in order to be processed. Please do not send anything back to me without a return approval. Thank you for your understanding.

Refunds will be issued within 1-10 business days from when your return/exchange is recieved. 

 

Shipping 

Purchases are shipped via the currier selected at checkout. Shipping times vary based on currier. Shipping insurance is included with all shipments within the USA. Tracking numbers are provided via email. Marah Made is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Marah made is not responsible for shipping delays due to weather or COVID-19. Shipping and insurance fees are non-refundable.

International shipping available for most countries. Don’t see your country? Please email marahmadejewelry@gmail.com for shipping inquiries. Insurance not available for international packages.

 

Processing

Most orders are shipped the same day or next day from the date the order was placed, for ready to ship items.

For “preorder” items - orders will be made and shipped in 1-10 business days. This does not include transit time.

Custom orders will be quoted a product timeline on a case by case basis.

Once your order has been placed, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided on your order. When your order has been shipped, tracking information will be sent to the email address provided on your order.

Care has been taken to ensure accurate color display of products. Due to variations in color of your monitor, color seen may vary from actual piece of jewelry.

 

Custom Orders

Custom orders are my favorite! It’s special to make something one of a kind for you or someone you love. For custom order inquiries please email marahmadejewelry@gmail.com. Custom orders are subject to 2 to 12 week processing time which will be quoted on a case by case basis depending on my current order load at the time. Shipping transit time is additional. Processing time starts from the date your design concept has been finalized and deposit has been received. Custom orders are final sale. Pricing will be determined upon consult and is based upon design, labor, type of stone, size and type of jewelry ordered. 

 

Payments/Deposits

For custom orders, I require a 50% deposit or prepay in full. Deposit must be paid the day as it is based on the daily metal market. If deposit is paid any day after quote is provided, price is subject to change due to fluctuating metal markets. If this is the case, you will be informed right away. This also helps ensure the quoted timeline for production is met.   When your piece of jewelry is finished and ready to ship, you will receive and email request for remaining balance to be paid. Remaining balance must be paid within 48 hours of date when email was sent. If your balance is not paid within 48 hours, I reserve the right to resell your piece of jewelry. If payments are submitted late or left unpaid, all future orders will require prepay in full rather than deposit method of payment.  I accept payments via Venmo, Paypal, and credit card.  A receipt will be emailed to you. Production timeline for your jewelry starts once deposit/payment have been received. Please note, deposits are non-refundable.
